چکیده
Herein, the synthesis of pure and modified mesoporous nanocrystalline NiO is reported. The catalyst was with different wt % F-ions or K2O used to produce Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) as a potential fuel/solvent. XRD analysis promoted catalysts confirmed formation Ni-metal covered by host oxide, compared NiO, especially for x F-ions. CO2-TPD results demonstrated existence basic sites over these varying strength. catalytic conversion sec-butanol (SB) into MEK parent showed 52 76.8 SB at 250 275 °C, respectively, higher selectivity >96 %. Among catalysts, NiO-10 F? NiO-1 99 95 conversion, retaining ?96 activity, most active correlated presence Ni/NiO interfaces, types sites, strong surface area porosity measurements.
